$15,000 funding for Tinonee Soccer Club

July 25th, 2016

Bromhead Announces $15,000 for Tinonee Soccer Club funding.

Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead has announced $15,000 in funding to assist the Tinonee Soccer Club which is continuing its program of improvements to its grounds and amenities.

Mr Bromhead said he is pleased that he has been able to secure $15,000 so the club can complete the project. “I have fought hard for the funding having raised the issue in Parliament supporting the Tinonee Soccer Club’s request for funding. I am pleased that the Premier Mike Baird has approved the funding for this important community project”. Mr Bromhead said.

“The Tinonee Soccer Club is a very active organisation that works hard for its members and will now be in the position to build better facilities for members and spectators with the assistance of the NSW Liberal/Nationals State Government’s grant.

“It is remarkable that with 200 members, the Tinonee Soccer Club has a membership which is twenty per cent of the population of the village of Tinonee and therefore plays an extremely important role in the village.

“The club has been raising money for this project that will cost approximately $27,000, and includes concrete pathways, seating, shelters so that people can get out of the elements when watching a game, plus other amenities around the grounds.
“The club also wants to install bike racks for the kids who ride their bikes to the grounds.

“This is a worthwhile and important project not only to the village of Tinonee, but also to the Manning Valley. “Like me, they wanted the NSW Government to lend support to a village like Tinonee, and I am pleased that the support has been forthcoming with this $15,000 grant I am announcing here today” Mr Bromhead said.
