ALDI adds extra fun to gameday in Port Macquaire

May 30th, 2017

Northern NSW Football’s (NNSWF) ALDI MiniRoos Development Officer, Tom Oldaker was out on the road again, this time joined by Football Mid North Coast (FMNC) Technical Director Larry Budgen visiting the largest football club in the Mid North Coast, Port Macquarie United.

The visit coincided with the NNSWF’s Silent Saturday initiative which encouraged coaches and parents to “just let the kids play”.

On the visit, there were a number of fun football activities implemented by Football Federation Australia’s (FFA) Major Sponsor of MiniRoos, ALDI.

ALDI encourages children to live a healthy and active lifestyle through playing football and having lots of fun.

To help deliver these key messages NNSWF gave children the opportunity to win prizes by taking turns on the ALDI inflatable kicking target and provided free fruit and sunscreen to all.

A big thank you to NNSWF’s Major Partner in Community Football, Newcastle Permanent for supplying free drink bottles and inflatable balls as prizes on the day.

NNSWF is committed to visiting more clubs on match days. Please contact us by sending an email to miniroos@northernnswfootball.com.au if your club has something to celebrate or you just want to have some fun.

NNSWF would also like to say a massive thank you to Gregg McDonald and Port Macquarie United Football Club for a fantastic day on Saturday.
