Excitement Builds with Teams confirmed for Inaugural Coastal Premier League 2020.

After the completion of another successful season for Football Mid North Coast (FMNC) and North Coast Football (NCF), both Member Zones are now in a position to shift their focus to 2020 and the inaugural season of the Coastal Premier League.

The Boards of both Zones have confirmed five clubs each which will form the inaugural competition.

Clubs from FMNC will include, Kempsey Saints FC, Macleay Valley Rangers FC, Port Saints FC, Port United FC and Wallis Lake FC.

From NCF, teams will include, Boambee FC, Coffs City United FC, Coffs Coast Tigers FC, Northern Storm FC and Woolgoolga United FC.

The inaugural season is set to be a highly entertaining one, with North Coast heavyweights Boambee FC entering the competition as well as returning Premier League side Woolgoolga United FC, who were able to secure a Grand Final position in their first season back.

Mid North Coast sides will also be potential challengers including Port United FC who finished as Premiers in the regular season and Wallis Lake who took out the Grand Final.

NCF Chair Wendy Schafer said the introduction of the competition and upcoming inaugural season is exciting.

“The Coastal Premier League will bring fresh excitement to football through the ten clubs participating,” Schafer said.

“With North Coast Football hosting the inaugural Grand Final, we will definitely be looking to filling one of those spots at the big dance.”

FMNC Chair, Mike Parsons was equally thrilled adding it is an exciting new venture for the clubs.

“Despite the extra travel for five matches during the season we hope that this additional level of competitive Football enhances the standard and excitement of our game and is inspirational for the players involved, their clubs and their supporters,” Parsons said.
