FFA CUP – ROUND 3

February 26th, 2020

Round 3 of the 2020 FFA Cup will take place this weekend in the Northern NSW Football Northern Conference. Four Football Mid North Coast clubs will be in action.

Macleay Valley Rangers, Port Saints, Port United and Wallis Lake all advanced straight to the third round in the draw whilst Camden Haven Redbacks advanced through from round 2.

On Saturday, Rangers will travel to Barnier Park to take on Westlawn Tigers from North Coast Football (NCF) who also start their campaign in round 3.

Wallis Lake will also head north where they will play at Ayrshire Park against Boambee FC who were NCF Champions and Premiers in 2019.

Port United will take their home game to Wayne Richards Park in Port Macquarie where they will meet fellow Coastal Premier League entrants Coffs Coast Tigers at 4pm. The Tigers defeated Kempsey Saints 2-0 last weekend at Verge Street in Kempsey to book their third round place. The clubs will also play a Reserve Grade trial match at 2pm.

And on Sunday, Port Saints will make the trip to Forsyth Park to do battle with Coffs City United. Both Coastal Premier League sides beginning their respective campaigns.

The Camden Haven Redbacks will move on to the fourth round with their scheduled opponents Moree FC unable to field a full squad. The Redbacks won 3-0 last weekend in Armidale against TAS FC in round 2. The sides will still contest a trial fixture at 6pm at Wayne Richards Park.

The draw for the fourth and fifth rounds of the Cup will take place on Tuesday 3rd of March live on the NNSWF facebook page.
