Weekend of Coaching in Port Macquarie
Wayne Richards Oval is set to host a weekend of Coach Education activities this September, with plenty on offer for Community Coaches.
FMNC Technical Director Larry Budgen will be joined by FFA National Community Coach Development Manager Les Bee and NNSWF Coach Education Coordinator Mat Fox.
These courses will provide you with valuable skills and experience to help you give your players the best football experience possible.
Club Coach Coordinator Workshop
Friday 16th September (6:00pm – 8:30pm)
This workshop supports Club Coach Coordinators to mentor club coaches to deliver positive football experiences for young players.
Who should attend? Experienced coaches or club volunteers who play a role in developing coaches within their club.
FREE Grassroots Coaching Certificate
Saturday 17th September (9:00am – 12:00pm)
Learn how to make training fun, enjoyable and engaging, gain tips on how to plan and organise your session. A must for new coaches!
Who should attend? Parents and coaches of players aged 5-9yrs, or coaches who are new to football and who want to find out what coaching kids is all about.
Skill Training Certificate
Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th (9:00am – 4:00pm)
This course is designed to help coaches develop players core skills (1v1, First Touch, Running with the ball, Striking the ball) and decision making in order to execute these skills in game situations.
Who should attend? If you are coaching young players (8-15yrs) who are ready for more challenging sessions with a focus on developing individual technique.
Game Training Certificate
Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th (9:00am – 4:00pm)
This course focuses on game phases of play (playing out from the back, playing through midfield, attacking combinations, pressing) and developing the team as opposed to the individual.
Who should attend? If you are coaching young to mature aged players (13-18+yrs) who have good technical ability and are looking for more understanding of team models and styles of play.
Community Goalkeeping Certificate
Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th (9:00am – 4:00pm)
This course focuses on developing Goalkeepers of all ages, covering core skills (positioning, general handling, distribution and techniques) with game moments.
Who should attend? If you are involved in coaching Goalkeepers or would like to contribute to running Goalkeeper specific sessions at your club for all ages.
