Football Mid North Coast(FMNC) are proud to announce that FMNC player Mona Walker has been successful into the Northern NSW Football Girls Under 13s squad to participate in the FFA National Youth Girls championships commencing Monday July 4th.
In the Girls this makes Mona in the top 16 Under 13s girls players in Northern NSW Football and is only one of two regional players selected.
The National Youth Championships are FFA’s primary national football competition for the 13 and 14 Years Boys, and 13 and 15 Years Girls. The competition will see teams from each of the State Federations of the FFA compete over five days, with the FFA National Youth Championships for Girls taking place in July and the FFA National Youth Championships for Boys in September.
Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) has hosted the Championships since 2006 working closely with Coffs Harbour City Council, their Sports Unit and the local community.
The 2015-17 NNSWF bid was supported by long-time partner, Coffs Harbour City Council and Sports Unit, along with Destination NSW, with both recognising the significance of the tournament as a catalyst for tourism and economic
benefit in the Coffs Harbour region and wider NSW and the partnership facilitating a strong bid.
Northern NSW Under 13s are in Group A with Queensland,Victoria, South Australia and NSW Metro with their first match at 9.30am on Monday July 4th.
Former FMNC players Hannah Jones, Molly Arens & Jessica Davis are all selected in the Northern NSW Football Girls Under 15s squad to participate at the Girls Nationals.
