Football Mid North Coast has elected football veteran Mike Parsons to lead the organisation for the next 12 months.
Parsons was elected following a successful annual meeting held in Laurieton.
A former player and referee, the current boss of the zone has pinpointed referee numbers as a vital ingredient to the success of the sport.
In a story in the Port Macquarie News by journalist Paul Jobber, Parsons said the central plank of the sport relied on referees.

Along with Parsons, the remaining executive includes Mark Woodward and Paul Sandilands with board members, Paul Berg, Jonathon Newman, Michael Wallace, Rick Naylor, Jason Ryan, and Tony Hill.
One of the highlights of the annual meeting was the decision to grant former president Graham Pilkie with life membership.
